Blown Away

Katherine & Tyler first met at the Coffee House in downtown Lincoln. Of course we had to photograph at the coffee house on there wedding day. Katherine and Tyler brought there own style to the wedding. The groomsmen opted out of wearing the basic tux shoes for converse and the ladies attire was a black Marilyn Monroe style dress. As an illustrative photographer I'm always trying to a story and feeling in my images. Before the wedding we talked about recreating an image of Marilyn Monroe standing above a street vent. I mention we could use some small fans, we finally decided on leaf blowers. This wedding party and the images we created, remind me why I love photography. I could not forget to thank Jeremy with Isis Photography for hanging with the video light.

The couch is back!

Elizabeth and Jason wanted something different. One green couch from the 1970's, a downtown Lincoln alleyway and 16 of the craziest wedding party members made it easy to capture cool illustrative images . Thanks again; you guys rock!

Kelly & Casey

Kelly & Casey were married a couple weeks ago. The wedding party was a blast. A good clue for a photographer is how the rehearsal dinner went. All the groomsmen were accounted for but, the rumor was it was a late night for the wedding party. Our location portraits were done in a park close to the church. As you see below the bride and bridesmaids chased down some birds by the lake while the groomsmen needed a image that looked like they were in a GQ magazine. See ya soon. Corey

branched oak engagement portraits

Summer is here which for some means relaxing by the waterfront. Emily & Jason wanted some images at the beach. The Pacific Ocean was too far so the next best thing was Branched Oak Lake. The water was blue and the sun was warm. I had fun; see ya soon.

Chris & Laura April Wedding

Cris & Laura were married on April 4th. The wedding was at St. Paul Methodist. Within minute of the ceremony the rain started to come down. Plan B for location portaits of the wedding party was at the StarLite Lounge. Much thanks to the staff at the Starlite Lounge. The blue colors of the wedding party looked great in the Starlite Lounge.

The Romantic Snowball Fight!!

This Valentine's Day, Clara & Adam had their engagement portraits done. Clara wanted images in the snow and we were very lucky the snowfall from the previous day had not yet melted. Clara and Adam decided to have a snowball fight to top off a fun winter engagement session.

Jeremy & Sarah Smith Wedding

Jeremy & Sarah Smith were married on December 28, 2008. It was a beautiful ceremony at the Berean Church. The reception followed at the Country Club of Lincoln. The bridesmaids thought you would like a image of them in their winter shawls. Scroll down and see for your self. Enjoy!

Junkyard Bride!

Want different bridal portraits? Kasandra Smith wanted something totally different. I think we accomplished that by going to a junkyard. Not the Capital nor a park but a junkyard. Much thanks goes to all the people who contributed to the photo shoot:
Petal Creations for the fabulous bouquets.
Tausha Ostrander, the owner of Serenity Salon, for creating the rock star updo!
Jeremy Johnson great friend and a incredible wedding photographer from Bellevue NE.
I cannot forget Cali with A SoundImpression who captured the photo shoot on video.

Beach Portraits in October?

I'll photograph where ever you want me to: junkyard, backyard, schoolyard, even the beach. I had the opprotunity to photograph Abbie Olson and Chris Niles' engagement portraits at Branched Oak Lake. The lighting was perfect at sunset.
