Chris & Laura April Wedding

Cris & Laura were married on April 4th. The wedding was at St. Paul Methodist. Within minute of the ceremony the rain started to come down. Plan B for location portaits of the wedding party was at the StarLite Lounge. Much thanks to the staff at the Starlite Lounge. The blue colors of the wedding party looked great in the Starlite Lounge.

Death of a Leprachaun

Michael Rourke, a shoemaker had worked a long and hard day repairing shoes for the people of Omaha, Nebraska. When the day ended Michael decided to go to his favorite pub, the Dubliner. As Michael sat drinking his pint of Guinness, his waitress started taking a liking to him. A local photographer took some portraits of the two of them as they talked. The leprechaun counted his riches while the waitress looked on thinking her flattering looks deserved some of his pot of gold. Mr. Rourke smelled the waitress' greed and waited until he was out of the waitress' sight to make his escape out the back. To his surprise the waitress was at the top of the steps and ready to give the Leprechaun a good push.

All images were sketched, directed, and created by CATTURA VITA. Special thanks to models Rodney and Sarah, as well as the Dubliner. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Kasey & Kyle's Wedding

Kasey & Kyle were married March 7, 2009. Cold but fun is the best way to describe their wedding. We picked a random dirt road in Valley, Nebraska to photograph. The wedding party braved the cold to get some fun shots. From there we went to two different bars. These are some of the coolest wedding portraits I've taken in a bar. The reception was at the Regency Lodge in Omaha. A memorable time at the reception was when two guys in the wedding party decided to go to the hotel bar and take over the piano bar. Great job on the piano!

The Derek Trucks Band Omaha 2-28-09

The last time The Derek Trucks Band came to Nebraska they opened for Santana. This time they took the stage at the sold-out Whiskey Roadhouse in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Their music is described as blending jazz, rock, blues, Latin, Eastern Indian, and other world music into the sound that now defines the DTB
Derek Trucks, considered to be a guitar prodigy, has played with the Allman Brothers Band, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton to name a few. Check out their new album Already Free. Thanks for the good times. See you this summer!

The Romantic Snowball Fight!!

This Valentine's Day, Clara & Adam had their engagement portraits done. Clara wanted images in the snow and we were very lucky the snowfall from the previous day had not yet melted. Clara and Adam decided to have a snowball fight to top off a fun winter engagement session.

Tomorrows Bad Seeds

Last nite at the Sokol Underground I photographed two emerging bands in the reggae/ska/rock movement. Cornerstone Dub based out of Lincoln, Nebraska has been opening for such acts like Pepper, Slightly Stoopid, Tomorrows Bad Seeds, The Toasters and Jah Roots. Cornerstone Dub's future is a tour with Tomorrows Bad Seeds this summer and a new cd.

A sound like no other is the only way to describe Tomorrows Bad Seeds. It is with this goal that L.A’s Tomorrows Bad Seeds has emerged onto the scene and is quickly gaining momentum as one of the hottest rising bands in Southern California. In between their tour with The Wailers they decided to play a show at Knickerbockers in Lincoln, NE and Sokol in Omaha.

Jeremy & Sarah Smith were married on December 28, 2008. It was a beautiful ceremony at the Berean Church. The reception followed at the Country Club of Lincoln. The bridesmaids thought you would like a image of them in their winter shawls. Scroll down and see for your self. Enjoy!
