We Nebraskans will probably remember June 2010 as the month of never ending rain. June 12th in Lincoln looked to be no exception and with an outdoor wedding and reception planned, there was some cause for concern. Lindsay and Matt were blessed on their wedding day, however, to have the rain clear before the festivities began! I should probably say I was blessed because we were able to carry on with our jam-packed day of outdoor shooting. I knew upon first meeting them, and then confirmed it shooting their engagement portraits, that Lindsay and Matt are a creative couple. Their attention to fun details helped to make for some awesome photos.
My most recent engagement shoot took me to UNL's East Campus. Morgan and Chad are a very postive couple, which made my job very easy! Their wedding will be September 10th. I can't wait to shoot their special day!
Lauren came in to the studio with her mother, Ann, last week for portraits. She did not want to smile at first but it did not take too long for her face to light up. I had the honor of witnessing Lauren crawl for the first time. Hopefully she’s shown off her new skill to her father, Jon, by now.
I wanted to share photos from the wedding I shot two weeks ago. Carolyn and Andrew are such a laid back couple. They were surrounded by friends and family on their special day. Andrew waited until the ceremony to see his bride: how romantic! One of my favorite parts of the day was being able to take advantage of the car show in the church parking lot for some photos in front of a classic car. We stopped by Mahoney Park for some location portraits before heading to the reception. Here's hoping Carolyn and Andrew had a wonderful honeymoon in Seattle!
I couldn't have asked for a better couple for the first wedding of the year. Erika and Corey couldn't have ask for a better day for a wedding. It was filled with tons of energy and tons of emotion! The ceremony was at North American Martyrs in Lincoln. Our location images started at a golf course near by and continued at the Historical Haymarket for some urban wedding portraits. The party did not stop there as we proceeded to the reception at the Holiday Inn! The live music was provided by the KC All Stars, who kept the dance floor full all night. I had a blast at your wedding. Stay tuned for more images.
Elizabeth and Jason wanted something different. One green couch from the 1970's, a downtown Lincoln alleyway and 16 of the craziest wedding party members made it easy to capture cool illustrative images . Thanks again; you guys rock!
"Smile and I'll get you ice cream" is a standard bribe for kids. Not only does it work but its fun and messy. Why have birthday cake when you can have ice cream? Kids love a challenge: they have to try to keep the ice cream from falling out of the cone, the drips from going down the arms and the cone from breaking. Happy birthday, Justice! Good job on the ice cream.
